4th of July/update on everyone

The babies, Gabe and I went to York Field in our hometown to have fun, eat, play and watch the fireworks. Two things we learned is to bring everything in one trip cuz they will not let you leave and come back in. The other one is bring food.. they did not have much selections to choose from.

The kids had fun with a little bit of crafts (colored on paper and face painting), run around, bounce house and the climbing/sliding thing (will show pics), play on the swings and watch fireworks. They did snack.

My boy Kaleb

Kaleb is doing good! He is learning new things and words everyday. he know three colors: blue, yellow and purple.. I think he is learning the color red. he know some animals sounds. he knows moo, quack, neigh, meow and woof. You ask him what sound an animal makes and he will tell you. He loves the family's two cats but they will run and hide every time Kaleb takes off after them.

One of his favorite things is balls.. anything that is round--he calls it a ball. :) Loves to play outside.
His new favorite DVD to watch is Elmo.. he says Mo when he wants to watch that.

He knows some signs.. need to teach him more signs so he can commuicate with me more when he gets older.

He likes to play with his sister as long as she is not bugging the heck out him. It goes the other way as well. They would play with the toys nicely one minute and the next minute there will be an all out fight between them. I hope one day they will learn to solve problems for themselves.

oh Father's day, we went to church.. came home and had lunch. Spend the afternoon hanging out. About 6ish we went to a viewing for a friend's father who had passed away earlier in the week. After talking to a few friends, we met up with Gabe's parents, sister and grandma at Olive Garden for dinner. It was a nice time and the kids actually behaved for once. :)

some stuff about us

My goodness so much for writing in my blog everyday.. lol.. okay I'm thinking of what to write about today. Actually there are several things I want to write about.

Casey did fingerpainting today while Kaleb had a nap. It has been a long time since she did that. Here are a few pictures of her and her masterpiece. :)

The babies' meal times had to be switched from their little table and chairs back to their highchairs. They eat and behave better that way.

Gabe and I had date night last Saturday night. We went to Claim Jumper and used one of the gift cards we had.. what a meal! We ate so much that night. After we went out to eat, we went to walk around at a mall. My mom babysat the babies.

oh yeah.. I am trying to get both kids to sleep in one bed. It only lasted one nap and two nights. They both are back in mama and daddy's bed, well, mostly Kaleb.. grrr Here is a picture of them sleeping together in Kaleb's crib. We are still going to put in one bed for them to share and get them cute sheets that they will enjoy.

Haircuts

Casey girl and I went to get our hair cuts at Supercuts. Here are the before and after shots of Casey. I will put my shots and some of Casey's haircut later. When I put her in the chair, she was unsure of the whole thing. She was okay.. did not fuss or cry. What a big girl! It was her first haircut. Here is her certificate she got from her haircutter. Kaleb will not be getting his first haircut in a long time.. Not ready to let go of his long, curly locks.

Selaco High School Reunion

Gabe, the kids and I went to my Selaco reunion. I got to see some of my old friends that I have not seen in a long time.. I saw a teacher and one of my favorite interpreter. It was nice to catch up with some of them. I exchange addresses and email addresses with some of my friends. :)

When I would introduce the kids to everyone, they would hide their faces. Kaleb is usually friendly but was shy today. Casey was in her usual shy nature.

We took variety of fresh fruits for potluck.. we noticed most ate the watermelon and grapes. There were lots of chicken, pasta salad, fruit salad, salad, cookies, brownies, chips, a big strawberry cake oh so yummy!

I took a few pictures but the batteries in the camera died on me.. I should have changed the batteries before I left @@ thankfully two friends will send me some pictures of us with them. I may ask Launa if she will send some reunion pictures to me. oh those who were at the reunion, would you please send me some pictures. :)

Casey and Kaleb had a blast, running around, getting into things, just having fun. They were getting into the ice that was dumped on the grass and had fun. They ate some food but perferred to run and play.

C and K's wbv and wic appt

Tuesday was the babies' wbv.. had to see the same doctor I saw last time for kaleb. He was much better. @@ Maybe because Gabe was there.. dunno.. anyhow, Casey got one shot and Kaleb got two. They had their finger pricked for anemia.. both are fine. don't remember the head circ. the nurse said that the head circ are about the same with both of them. Oh and the doc said that Casey is underweight but not too concern about it. Gabe and I are not concern about it since we look at the overall of why she is slowly gaining weight.
here are the stats:
Casey girl: 27 1/2 lbs and 35 inches tall
Kaleb: 22 lbs and 32 1/2 inches tall

WIC appt went okay.. went to a class and got the checks.. didn't say anything about Casey being underweight.

my thought!

I wish I did this a long time ago when I was pregnant with both kids and continue on. I would have kept track of their milestones and write something about them each day. I would have easily write in their baby books when I had time or just print it out and put it in the book.
No milestones today but they had their baby well visits. Will talk about it in tomorrow's blog. :)

Casey's language & speech and signing time

One funny thing Casey says is my tummy is not full when she is still hungry. I just smile when she says that. :) I am sure there are other funny sentences she says. Just can't think of it right now.
She still can't say her r in combinations like green, tree, drum. She learns new words and signs everyday.
Today, she learned some new signs of word she knew from signing time. She learned the signs for colors, some action words, some veggies and fruits.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is my 4th Mother's Day! I got one gift, one e-card and two text messages. oh and my daughter saying happy mother's day to me. So sweet! Oh and Gabe had to work from 11:30 am to 6 pm.

Chuck E Cheese on Casey's birthday

On April 29th in the evening, the four of us went to Chuck E Cheese for Casey's birthday. My mom would have came but she was not up to it. We spend 3 hours there, playing games, eating pizza, drinking sodas or lemonade, riding. We decided to get a cake and let Casey pick what kind. Chocolate.. go figure. :) Here are some pictures of the kids. thought I took more of Kaleb. :(

Here are some scanned pictures we got there. We used tokens to take those pictures. We took two each of the kids, riding with Chuck E. And there were a thing that draws of us. Here is one of me and Gabe together and the babies together. We had to sit the kids on our laps to sit them higher for the pic.

Casey's 3rd birthday

I was not sure where to start but I think I will start with Casey's birthday. Everyone had a blast, especially the 6 children. We had mexican food for lunch and the kids played with toys and had a blast playing in the pools. I will post a few pictures of the cake. Gabe and I bought it from Ralph's. Casey loved the cake.

while we were singing happy birthday to Casey, she got all shy and leaned against me. I had to help her blow out her birthday candles.
